Using Tools

• To use a tool, you must have been trained on the tool station prior to using it. Acceptable training is through an AMS class or private instruction by an AMS-approved trainer.
• Please contact a maintainer to arrange for private instruction.
• Create a Google Account to join our calendar and shared drive. 
• Once you have a Google Account, e-mail board@akronmakerspace.org to request access to the drive and calendar to see if classes are scheduled, and if tools are available.
• Access to tools is on a first-come-first-serve basis, except when there is a scheduled class.

The Akron Makerspace has a Facilities Manager and Board of Directors that handles repairs and tuning of equipment.  If you encounter a damaged tool, or a tool that is otherwise unsafe to use, contact broken@akronmakerspace.org.

You must purchase and provide your own project materials.  We do not regularly stock or store material for purchase.
