Housekeeping

Parking

• You can park in any spot in the Canal Park South parking lot.  Please be mindful of any spaces marked as reserved or otherwise restricted.

 

Restrooms

• The restrooms for the space are located half-way down the hall on the right. There are scooters in the entrance portal for you to use to get to the restrooms.  The ADA bathrooms are located on the 2nd floor.  There is a map in the elevator that will show you how to get to them. 

 

Kitchen

• The kitchenette area at the front of the space is open for all members to use.  It has a sink, fridge, freezer, coffee maker, microwave, and pizza oven.  Please clean up after yourself.  If you leave something in the fridge, put your name and the date on it.  If left longer than 1 week, it will be thrown away. 

 

Times to come in

• Members are allowed to enter Canal Place from 6 am to 11 pm. With this power comes great responsibility. 

Locking up

• When finished at the space, be sure to lock up:
  • Front Door locked
  • Garage door down and locked
  • 3 sets of doors to Wood Lab closed
  • Windows in the Machine Lab and Weld lab closed
  • 4 light switches on the column near the kitchenette are off- these turn off the majority of the lights in AMS.

Animals

• Only trained service dogs are allowed in the space.  No pets are allowed.  See the ADA’s FAQ about Service Animals at https://www.ada.gov/regs2010/service_animal_qa.html.

 

Guests

• Members may bring guests to the Space to assist with projects, but they may not use the tools. 

 

Paperwork

• Member paperwork can be submitted in the light beige dropbox mounted on the wall outside of the Staff Office.
